Multilingual & English Learners
SESEBA
Self-Evaluation of Supports for Emergent Bilingual Acquisition
The research-backed framework to accelerate language acquisition and literacy from Pre-K through Grade 3 to help districts to support the emergent Multilingual Learners.
The growing gap
More students need support, but most systems aren't built to support them effectively.
22% of U.S. children are Multilingual Learners. They are 50% less likely to reach reading proficiency without proper support.
Why districts struggle
- Limited support for a growing MLL population
- Shortage of bilingual coaches and high teacher turnover
- No visibility into the classroom interactions that drive outcomes
Fixing this requires more than more content. It requires improving what happens inside the classroom.
How SESEBA solves this
Improve MLL outcomes by strengthening teacher-child interactions
for teachers
Improve instruction for Multilingual Learners
• Build research-based modules designed for real classrooms • Earn certifications through structured reflection and practice • Analyze classroom videos with AI-powered insights • Access curated strategies and coaching tools
for admins
Fix the root cause, not just the symptoms
• Move beyond phonics-only approaches and address classroom interaction quality • Scale coaching without needing more specialized staff • Automatically generate documentation for Title III compliance • Support your team with guided implementation and data review
SESEBA turns these strategies into daily practice through one unified platform.
